Ye Naing Moe is the founding Director of Yangon Journalism School. YJS was founded by Ye and his colleagues in 2009. Ye also is the Chief Trainer of YJS. He writes regular columns on Monday for 7 Day Daily newspaper. He studied journalism at Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. He lives in Yangon.
Aye Mya Kyaw is the Program Manager of Yangon Journalism School. She used to be the senior editor of 7Day News weekly and 7Day daily before joining YJS in 2016. She had worked as a journalist for 13 years and wrote numerous stories. At YJS, Aye Mya Kyaw manages all the schools’ programs and activities. She also oversees programs at Mandalay Journalism School, sister of YJS, as well. She’s an alumnus of the Indochina Media Memorial Foundation. Aye Mya lives in Yangon.
San Yu Kyaw is In-Charge’ and Trainer of Mandalay Journalism School. He used to be the editor at Mandalay Bureau of The Modern and The Kumudra journals before he joined MJS in 2015. San teaches both at YJS and MJS; and manages programs at MJS. He started his journalism career at Panthitsar Journal, a Mandalay based weekly paper. He is now writing columns for 7 Day Daily and The Irrawaddy Journal with pen name “Maung Nyarna”. San Yu Lives in Mandalay.
Tin Zar Zaw is the full-time trainer of Yangon Journalism School. She started her career as a monthly magazine journalist, and she used to be the editor-in-charge of Popular News Journal. Later, she became a media trainer in 2014. She joined YJS in February 2016. Tinzar lives in Yangon.
Hsu Yee Mon is the Finance Officer of Yangon Journalism School. Hsu takes care of financial functions of the YJS. Hsu joined YJS as an accountant in February 2016. She got a Bachelor of Zoology from Dagon University. Hsu also received a Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in MYOB (LCCI-UK) and Professional Diploma in Financial Management. She is now studying for ACCA. Hsu lives in North Dagon Township in Yangon.
Hsu Mon Phyo is the Project Coordinator of Yangon Journalism School. Hsu is responsible for coordinating and documenting the projects for YJS. Hsu joined YJS as Project Coordinator in January 2020. She got a Bachelor of Physics from Dagon University. Hsu also worked as a news translator and TV presenter at various media organizations for over six years. She lives in South Okkalapa Township in Yangon.
Thae Nu Yin is the Admin Officer of Mandalay Journalism School, sister School of Yangon Journalism School. She joined MJS in 2017. She manages the MJS and the training programs run by MJS. She earned a B.Econ (Eco) from Meiktila Institute of Economics in 2005. She worked as a journalist from 2006 to 2015, writing news and articles for Dana Business Magazine and The Modern and The Kumudra weeklies. Thae lives in Mandalay.
Aye Khin Myat is the Accountant of Yangon Journalism School. Myat takes care of account functions of the YJS. Myat joined YJS as an accountant in January 2020. She got a Bachelor of Mathematics from Dagon University. Myat also received a Diploma in Accounting and Finance. She is now studying for CPA (Part 1). Myat lives in Tamwe Township in Yangon.
Sandar Aung is the Admin Staff of Yangon Journalism School. She organizes classes and activities and look after the well-being of YJS. Sandar joined Yangon Journalism School in July 2019. Sandar received a Bachelor of BSc (Chemistry) from the West Yangon University. She lives in Shwe Pyi Tha Township in Yangon.
